"Tour de CalMac"

As many of you know, the members of Williamwood Pipe Band are always up for a challenge. Some think we are slightly bonkers and who would disagree? Last year the band climbed Ben Lomond carrying their pipes and drums and played at the top. This year our new fund raising challenge is.....The Five Ferries Challenge....

What is the Five Ferries Challenge? Well, it is a 51 mile cycle incorporating five ferry crossings. Start point is Ardrossan, cycle part way round Arran then cross to Kintyre. Cycle up to Tarbet and ferry over to Portavadie. From here it is round the Cowal peninsula and over to Bute, A few more miles on Bute and one final ferry means we complete the challenge at Wymess Bay.

The band will be performing a few sets of tunes at each ferry crossing as part of the challenge. Non band members are welcome to take part and if interested should contact any band member for more information.

The date for our "Tour de CalMac" is Sunday 30th May.

This is a fundraising sponsored event and your support will be much appreciated.
