Practices
Practice is a big part of pipe band life, and practicing with both the pipe and drum corps together is essential. Throughout the winter, the corps will learn any new material, from slight harmony changes to complete new tunes and sets, to make competing in the summer second nature. This obviously involves having a big enough practice venue to cope with a full pipe band twice a week - and thankfully we have the support of the Redhurst Hotel.
We practice twice a week, Monday and Thursday from 7.30pm till around 9.30pm. The Redhurst is within very easy reach of the city centre by car via the M8, M77 & M74. Williamwood train station from Glasgow Central is also only 2 minutes walk from the Redhurst. The on-site bar is also a great chance to get some well deserved refreshments after practices and contests. |
