Season update. Alot has been happening with the bands over the last few weeks, mainly the World Pipe Band Championships!
Since our last update, the band' traveled over to Belfast for the European Championships. The Grade 4 band held there own against a tough Irish contingent placing 10th. The Grade 2 band were placed 12th out of 17. The 'pre-worlds' contest is, as always, in Bridge of Allan. Both bands turned out for the big contest looking to get a good run for the following weeks Major contest. The grade 2 band were again placed 12th and the Grade 4 band were placed 5th, getting them on the prize list - a great effort!
The World Pipe Band Championships were next, with both bands requiring to qualify due to the number of bands in Grade 2 & 4. Unfortunately, both bands failed to qualify for the Final contest in their respective grades.
Both bands are now looking forward to the Cowal Gathering - the final major contest of the season. Hope to see you all there on Saturday 28th August.
